With a officer, safety officer or a qualified appointed member present, the new flyer/student must perform the following maneuvers to the satisfaction of the observer.

3. Climb to a safe altitude and assume level flight
4. Approach the field at approximately 30’ altitude, passing straight down the runway to show approachability.
5. Continue at a safe altitude and at idle, demonstrate a stall and recovery.
6. Return to the pattern and land.
The object of this test is to ensure safety only and should not be used to discourage flying or criticize the new flyer/student.
The qualifier must use fair judgment in requesting maneuvers and allow for the type of aircraft.
Failure to complete all required maneuvers in a safe manner would be cause for additional instructions.
Notice:
These bylaws are an outline of what is required for safe flying and to make sure nothing is done to hamper our use of this great flying site.
There will be things you will notice happening at the field from time to time that should not be taking place. This is your club and it is up to every member to make sure that any unsafe activity is stopped before it turns into trouble.
If you have any suggestions let me know. I know that we can’t cover everything that can and might happen in this sport. We don’t want these bylaws to turn into a book so if your suggestion is not used, it probably is for a good reason.
Field rules will follow sometime soon.
Thanks,
